COMPANY Welkom bij DISTRICO Management & organization   DISTRICO Head-Quarters , located in Antwerp (Belgium), is since  2 years ago headed by Mark STEIER, an authority in the  transportation industry. Mr. STEIER has been able to successfully  implement a new management and organization structure. He is  also the visionary behind the “Act Global, Think Local” strategy.  The current Management Team also introduced the “WARR”-  principle and most recently updated it to the “eWARR” principle  of logistic process management.   DISTRICO’s Management team members are: - STEIER, Mark: Managing Director & Distribution Director (a.i.)  - OIRE, Linda: HR Director  - ORDO, Bert: Facilities Director  - RANDY, Burt: Sales Director  - ROLLE, Catherine: Finance Director  Financial information   DISTRICO’s vision is to create a sound financial structure for the  company to assure a stable partnership with our clients. Mss.  ROLLE has been instrumental the last years to establish such a  financially stable structure.  DISTRICO’s management team believes that financial stability in  combination with a growth scenario assures future success. For  the fifth year in a row, DISTRICO was able to realise significant  growth in revenues as is shown in the graph below: Historic overview   02.10.1946 After WW II, Karel RACHTEN started a local transportation company in Belgium with 1 small van. 01.07.1955 Karel’s son, Jozef RACHTEN, joins the company and two additional second hand trucks were acquired. 27.05.1956 RACHTEN & ZOON bvba was established and in that year 10 employees were hired. 09.11.1967 RACHTEN & ZOON and TRANSHESS NATIE joined forces into a new company DISTRICO. 01.01.1983 DISTRICO becomes listed on the Belgian stock market. The RACHTEN family remains the largest shareholder with 45% of the shares. 15.08.1989 YAMAHASHA Ltd, a Hong- Kong based logistic is acquired and becomes the 3rd branch of DISTRICO. 01.05.1995 DISTRICO is the 1st transport enterprise in Belgium to launch a Corporate Project Office.
